Bears Don't Need To Eat Sugar Free and Fat Free Foods

Bears need to avoid buying anything that has the following labels: Low Fat, Fat Free, Reduced Fat, Low Sodium, Low Sugar, and Sugar Free.

Bears can have some fat, bears can have some sugar, BUT, you need to be cautious about going overboard. The answer to your diet and fat and sugar intake is portion control, NOT eating  altered "free" versions of food.

What is in this stuff anyway?
The makers of "free, reduced, and low" foods have taken something out, which also means that they have put something in. The added components of these foods tend to be artificial colors, artificial flavors, artificial sweeteners, or even modified fats. In short they are adding food chemicals. When you’re trying to be healthy, chemicals are not what you should be putting in your body!

Ask yourself "Have you ever lost weight, felt healthy, and 'normal' while eating 'diet' foods?" Most people we see cannot answer yes. These foods do not satisfy us the same way that real food does. Our bodies need real food. Diet foods leave the body feeling deprived and make us feel like outsiders who can’t enjoy normal food. When fighting weight gain, diabetes, and other weight-related disorders, it is important that you are using whole foods to help you regain health and stay at a good weight.

Buying organic, natural foods would be preferred if possible, however, if you are not eating organic for one reason or another then try to stay with foods that are in their most natural state.
