Avoid Foods That
Will Stress Your System!
No
and Lo-Fat Foods
A lot of people eat the low-fat/fat free variety of
salad dressings, peanut butter, mayonnaise, and
snack foods and assume this is the healthy way to go
and a great way to lose weight. Our philosophy is
you should eat the
real fat. Why? Because if you eat
in moderation, real fat is better than fat free or
low fat foods which are usually filled with
additives and food chemicals and added sugar to help
replace the missing flavor of fat. When
you’re trying to be healthy, chemicals are not what
you should be putting in your body!
Sugar will
stress you
Simple Carbs are carbohydrates which a Bear will
break down very quickly into sugar. If you eat too
much, they will give you the sugar high and the
sugar low and make you feel tired when the
sugar wears off. Feeling fatigued is not the way to
look and feel good.
Sugars in simple carbs
Think white! White breads, pastas, rice, and sugar
all fall under this category. And yes that means,
sugary treats like soda and candy that although
aren't white, are still considered simple. The
reason they are simple is because they either enter
the body as sugar, or are quickly metabolized into
sugar.

Sugar
is one of those hidden ingredients that
is lurking in many foods that you may
not even be aware of.
We recommend that you check your labels
for all the different names of sugar
such as glucose, sucrose, maltose,
dextrose, fructose, cane sugar, honey,
molasses, to name some. |
Sugar
Substitutes
A main
focus of the Hauser Diet is eating natural foods and
products, so as not to stress your system. This
means staying away from food chemicals and
artificial foods. Artificial sweeteners, such as
aspartame and sucralose, are things we consider fake
sugar. (No matter how much they claim that they are
“like” sugar). Anything that says Low Sugar or Sugar
Free on the label may tend to have artificial
sweeteners or sugar alcohols.
There are people who need to avoid sugar as much as
possible, like diabetics, but for the Bear who can
have sugar we recommend raw sugar, honey, or 100%
maple syrup, IN MODERATION!
